@codemunky: Yeah, I agree with you there. But as for finding out whether creepy guys are actually nice guys on the inside - there's not much incentive to do so.

@soulst0p: I think Napoleon Dynamite, after getting snubbed, would most certainly retreat however. Real creepiness bothers me when guys simply don't get the hint that contact with them is not welcome - at all!

@<strike>jimmiwin</strike> creep - Welcome.

@Edrei: Ok that sneaky thing is scary! Hahaha but I have a friend like that, that just appears out of nowhere. I don't know that that ability necessarily makes you creepy, I guess. I think there's a point where you understand or don't understand why people behave the way they do, coupled with the comfort level. Yeah, creepy people aren't necessarily bad people, I agree, but as far as compatibility standards, that's another story. :)

Between a close friend and I, she often mentions that I am creepy which I don't really deny. I have a habit of sneaking up on people, appearing out from nowhere and being very still and very silent until people notice that I'm right behind them.

That on a whole is very creepy. But I just don't notice it at all.

Then again, it's a matter of perspective. She knows I can be creepy. I know I can be creepy. When that happens, it just becomes a pet name that doesn't mean anything but affection between us.

If you're really okay with it, any form of creepiness is just a character trait we accept as part of the person. Some people can't help the way they are around others. Doesn't mean they are bad people. Often enough, they are just eccentric or with a few social bugs here and there.

I think it's a matter of comfort. Some genuinely creepy people, can be considered just 'weird' if it doesn't encroach on someone's comfort level. Like a crazy person in the street. Some people will just laugh at him. Some will pity him. But if he violates your comfort level, then he becomes creepy.

For example. If Napoleon Dynamite ever liked you, and actually caught YOU a delicious bass, and then actually gave it to you... well, it might end up being kinda creepy. Albeit, probably hilarious to others.

Creepiness is an overall impression. That guy and his actions could be totally creepy, and he could actually be a nice guy.
