They may have done a $180 million makeover but it will always be “Fox Hills Mall.” You can slap “Westfield Shopping Town” all over that sucker and it still will be “Fox Hills Mall.” I’ve never called that place “Westfield” anything and I never will.

@Daniel – I’ll be interested to hear your opinions first! Lol – yes BJ’s isn’t bad for pizookies but I think I’ve associated my BJ’s experience with the one in Westwood during undergrad and am content to leave that memory there.

@codemunky – I think we can all agree there’s a reason why Fox Hills was renovated – and renamed.

Good job on Westfield’s part. I don’t know about others, but Fox Hills Mall always had that ghetto feeling to me. Maybe it’s because I grew up in South OC? These events, entertainment, and installations make it more inviting to go to. The only reason I went there was for Chick-Fil-A, which was the closest in LA.

That’s not to say that Culver City is ghetto. There are nice parts of Culver City that I would not mind living in.

This is walking distance from my work and will thus be a frequent lunch spot for our team. Looking forward to KyoChon and (hopefully) Yen Sushi. I’ll still give Manna a try, and I think the food court booted my favorite place that served kabobs (or at least I don’t see it on the resto list). And let’s not forget BJs–decent pies and a full bar. I can walk there and then stumble back to my cave =)
